“To a Land of No Regrets”

Depicting Charlie’s life story, struggles, triumphs and dreams, this video was produced by documentary filmmaker Niklas Schenck. The story was published in the German national newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, on April 23rd 2011.

Charlie Tamayo is a world class gymnast whose Olympic journey has been filled with road blocks and challenges that he has fearlessly faced head on. As the Summer games in 2012 approaches, this is Charlie’s last chance to fulfill his life long dream- to compete in the Olympics games.

Charlie was sworn in as a US citizen on January 10th, 2012. His twins, Maryanne and Anthony were born on May 28th 2011.

Charlie is currently training at Universal Gymnastics in  Florida. His next competition is in February at the World Cup in Las Vegas.
